A provincial nomination can be the difference between waiting and landing

Every province and territory except Quebec and Nunavut runs its own nominee program, with streams built around the workers, graduates and entrepreneurs it wants to keep. A nomination through an Express Entry-linked stream adds 600 points to your CRS score. We identify which streams you fit and manage the application from expression of interest to nomination.

Provincial streams come in two forms. Enhanced streams are linked to Express Entry: the province selects you from the pool or invites you based on your profile, and the nomination adds 600 CRS points, which in practice places you at the top of the next relevant draw. Base streams operate outside Express Entry: you apply to the province directly, and after nomination you file a separate permanent residence application with IRCC. Base streams often suit candidates whose CRS score is low but whose occupation or connection to the province is strong.

Ontario’s program, the OINP, is the one most of our Mississauga clients look at first. Its Human Capital Priorities, French-Speaking Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades streams draw from Express Entry; its Employer Job Offer streams cover foreign workers, international students and in-demand skills; and it runs Masters and PhD Graduate streams for Ontario graduates. Other provinces have their own logic, such as occupation in-demand lists, family connections or regional employer streams, and the right province is not always the one you live in.

Provinces open and close streams, change occupation lists and adjust scoring throughout the year. Our role is to keep track of that so your expression of interest is in the right place at the right time, and to prepare a nomination application that satisfies the province’s requirements and IRCC’s, because both must be met.

Who this is for

  • Express Entry candidates whose CRS score sits below recent cut-offs and who need the 600-point nomination
  • Workers with an Ontario job offer or Ontario experience who may qualify for an OINP employer or human capital stream
  • International graduates of Ontario or other provincial institutions
  • Skilled workers in occupations targeted by a specific province’s in-demand list
  • Candidates with family in a province that rewards that connection

What we do

  • Map your occupation, experience, education, language and connections against every open stream across Canada
  • Recommend enhanced or base streams based on your CRS score, timeline and flexibility on where you settle
  • Prepare and submit expressions of interest and respond to notifications of interest within their deadlines
  • Build the nomination application, including employer documents for job offer streams
  • Update your Express Entry profile once nominated and prepare the e-APR
  • Handle the federal permanent residence application for base stream nominees

How it works

  1. 1

    Stream mapping

We assess your profile against every stream you could qualify for, nationally, and recommend the strongest one or two.

  2. 2

    Expression of interest

We register you in the province’s system, or position your Express Entry profile for provincial selection, and monitor draws.

  3. 3

    Nomination application

When invited, we prepare the full provincial application, including employer, settlement and intent-to-reside evidence, within the deadline.

  4. 4

    Federal application

With the nomination in hand, we file the e-APR or the base stream permanent residence application and manage it through to landing.
