International Travel Visas

Walk into your US visa interview prepared for every question

A B1/B2 visa is decided in a conversation that often lasts a few minutes, on the basis of a form that was completed weeks earlier. Consular officers presume every applicant intends to immigrate until shown otherwise. We prepare the DS-160, the documents and you, so the officer sees a genuine visitor with a clear reason to return to Canada.

The B1/B2 visa allows temporary entry to the United States for business (B1) and for tourism, visiting family or medical treatment (B2). Canadian citizens do not need one, but permanent residents, students, workers and other residents of Canada who hold passports from visa-required countries must apply at a US consulate in Canada before crossing the border, whether by air or by land.

Under US law, the officer must refuse the visa unless you overcome the presumption of immigrant intent. That means demonstrating strong ties to Canada, a clear and credible purpose for your trip, the means to pay for it, and a history that does not raise concerns. Most refusals are issued under section 214(b) with little explanation, and a poorly prepared DS-160 or an inconsistent interview answer is often the cause.

We assist with preparation. We are Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants, not US attorneys, and we do not represent clients before the US government; you attend the interview yourself. What we do is make sure the form is accurate and complete, the supporting documents tell a consistent story, and you know exactly how to answer what you will be asked.

Who this is for

  • Permanent residents of Canada from visa-required countries who want to travel to the United States
  • International students and temporary workers in Canada planning a holiday, conference or family visit across the border
  • Travellers seeking medical treatment in the United States who need to document the purpose and funding of the trip
  • Applicants refused under section 214(b) who want to understand why before reapplying
  • Business travellers attending meetings, negotiations or trade events in the United States

What we do

  • Assess your eligibility and the strength of your ties to Canada before you pay any fees
  • Complete the DS-160 with you, line by line, so every answer is accurate, consistent and defensible at interview
  • Guide you through fee payment, profile creation and booking the interview appointment at the appropriate consulate
  • Prepare a document package: status in Canada, employment or enrolment, finances, travel itinerary, and invitation or treatment letters where relevant
  • Coach you for the interview with realistic practice questions and honest feedback on your answers
  • Review a previous refusal and advise on the timing and approach for a new application
